Growing up Angel's mother's favorite artist was Janet Jackson; therefore, as a kid Angel spent a lot of time dancing in her room to her mother's Janet Jackson albums. Later when she was 6, Angel's mother put Angel in ballet classes. To her mother's surprise, Angel wasn't a huge fan of the classes, she preferred dancing alone. So after Angel completed that year of ballet, her mother didn't make her do it again. While Angel thoroughly enjoys watching all forms of dance including ballet, she prefers dancing in the styles of hip-hop, belly dance, samba, and freestyle and she self taught herself these by watching her favorite dancers.
